Notifications & alerts

Where GMPro tells you what happened and what needs you next — the bell, the Action center, and the settings that control both.

  1. 1

    The bell: what happened

The bell in the top bar collects your recent notifications — deadline reminders, document expirations, submission confirmations. Unread items show a count badge; open one to jump straight to the record it's about, or “Mark all read.”

  2. 2

The Action center: what needs you

“Open action center” (or the bell's footer link) shows the items that need a next action — deadlines, certifications, and required documents, grouped by urgency. You never dismiss these by hand: each item clears automatically when the underlying work is complete, and when nothing needs you it says so.

  3. 3

    Tune where GMPro alerts you

In “Notification settings” (account menu, or the Settings link in the bell), every event type has an Email and an In-app toggle — submission confirmations, returned applications, deadlines, document reminders. Set your global defaults, then pick a specific grant opportunity from the scope menu to override them for just that grant and fiscal year.

Turning alerts off never hides required work — deadlines and required documents stay visible in their workspaces and in the Action center.
